Quesadillas – wheat or regular soft tortilla toasted to its perfection with ham, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese and herbs served with meat sauce.



The quesadilla is a tortilla turnover filled mostly with cheese, and sometimes meat, chicken or vegetables, and grilled or deep fried. The exact origin of the quesadilla is unknown, but is believed to be a mix of European Old World tradition with Mesoamerica New World food, according to the "Oxford Companion to Food." Quesadillas can be high in calories and fat, depending on the type of tortilla you use and your choice of fillings.
